AXORGY techicians are rigorously recruited according to their basic training and their experience in their specialties. They are holders of COFREND (ISO 9712) Level 2 or ASNT certifications in various Nondestructive Testing methods (N.D.T.).
Penetrant Testing (PT)
Penetrant testing is a control method that consists of obtaining a contrast between a product called « developer » and a product called « penetrant ». This method makes it possible to search for superficial defects (fatigue defects, cracks, production defects, gutter pores, pitting, etc.) on non-porous or overly rough materials.
Magnetic Testing (MT)
Magnetic particle inspection is a control method that consists in obtaining a contrast between metallic particles and the bottom of the piece. Magnetoscopy makes it possible to search for emerging and underlying indications in ferromagnetic materials by passage of current or magnetic field, under white or ultraviolet light.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Defects testing – Ultrasonic testing uses the laws of wave propagation in different media. Ultrasound propagates evenly in some materials until a change of environment occurs. At this precise moment, it can happen different phenomena such as reflection, refraction or diffraction. Ultrasound allows the search for defects in the mass. Often complements of industrial radiography in the presence of large thicknesses, ultrasound have the advantage of use in a difficult environment. Easier to handle and less restrictive in terms of radiation protection, the interpretation of ultrasound signals remains the peculiarity of experienced professionals.
Ultrasonic thickness measurements – On the same principle, ultrasound can be used to measure thickness by detecting erosion-corrosion zones.
Radiography Testing (RT)
Similar to medical practice, radiography allows the search for indications or corrosion in all metals (steels, alloys, aluminum, etc.) and composites using sources of
X or Gamma radiation.

o Supervise destructive and non-destructive controls.
o Track discrepancies and changes in nonconformities, implement corrective actions and follow specific project documents.
o Suggest improvements.
